Skeletons at Indrahar Pass (H.P.)
Some trekkers spotted two human skeletons near 4342-meter Indrahar pass in the Dhauladhar mountain range. The skeletal remains are suspected to be of two French trekkers - Valentin Marcel Gorges, 20, and Francois Xavier Camille, 21 - who had gone missing in the area in August 2013.

In order to survive, the endangered snow leopard needs sufficient wild prey. In the last decades, a lack of prey has become a threat to the cat in many parts of its range, populations of ibex, bharal and other prey species have declined. In some areas, this was mainly due to unsustainable hunting. In the Indian Himalaya, on the other hand, overgrazing of fragile pastures by domestic livestock has been a bigger problem. Last week we mentioned that Patagonia had planned to donate all its Black Friday earnings to charity. The company said it was expected pull in about $2 million in sales at both its 80 global stores and Patagonia.com but blew past its own estimate many times over. 5 times over. So the $10 million will go to grassroots environmental groups fighting to protect vital natural resources like water, air and soil. Ahem! Indian gear manufacturers, the bar has been set.

Chau Chau Kang Nilda
Chau Chau Kang Nilda also known as ‘Guan Nelda’ or ‘blue moon in the sky’. The mountain located 13 km northeast of Kaza, Spiti (H.P.). Learn the local legend behind its name. The Chau Chau Kang Nilda was first climbed in 1939 by J.O.M. Roberts who crossed Spiti from Kullu. He became the first mountaineer to visit Spiti.
