Quechua Forclaz 900 (Bionassay Pant 500 in India) are a pair of lightweight trekking trousers for men. At Rs. 3,999 they may seem expensive, but we reckon these trousers will last a casual hiker over five years. This durability makes them exceptional value for money. These trousers resist wind, snow and rain fairly well. Forclaz 900 do not feature convertible legs or vents and this makes it unsuitable for temperatures over 35 degrees C. Although not waterproof, they dry off quickly which is a bonus for monsoon trekkers.

Decathlon’s Quechua Forclaz 50 Speed is a lightweight backpack with an internal frame and a fixed suspension. The backpack weighs 1080 grams, that is 700 grams less as compared with backpacks of similar capacity. Despite the lightweight construction the backpack is robust and comfortable over long distances. We have tested this backpack for 7 months and its comfort and robust build quality is impressive. This is one of the best backpack available in India for a multi day trek with a pack weight of under 15 kilos.
