Bodies of Alex Lowe and David Bridges found in the Himalayas after 16 years
The bodies of Alex Lowe and David Bridges have been discovered in the Himalaya 16 years after having been swept away by an avalanche while climbing Shishapangma, (8027m) Tibet. Their remains were discovered by Swiss alpinist Ueli Steck and his German counterpart David Göttler while scouting a new route on Shishapangma. The discovery is attributed to climate change which has caused ice to melt at Shishapangma.
Lowe, whose technical and physical skills he had earned him the nickname of “The Mutant” and the “Lung with Legs”, was hailed a few months before his death by Outside magazine as the strongest living mountaineer.
More deaths at Shishapangma, (8027m) Tibet
A Swiss and Austrian climber, part of a team of nine mountaineers were attempting to summit China’s 8,027-metre high Shishapangma mountain when they fell down a crevasse last Sunday.

Trekking advice you can ignore
Business Insider doles out expert trekking advice. Sigh! Perhaps their idea of trekking differs from ours.
So, pack at least 2 track pants and 4 tees if you are going for 3-4 days. Keep at least 4 pair of socks as they can get wet while crossing the river. Girls! You are not going in heels as sports shoes should be the only option.
Good for a few laughs. Read more.
